Steve Gengler: Laura Brennan, of Washington’s Crossing, PA, attributes her smoking habit to long drives, among other things. “I feel like I didn’t get addicted to cigarettes until the summer after I graduated. I would always drive to the beach and smoke the whole way down to pass the time.”
Matt Dinkel: Sarah Mueller, 20, said “I started smoking when I got to college. It was a way to meet people.”
Steve Gengler: 54-year-old Jim Thomas didn’t start smoking cigars until he was in his forties. “I started because one of my buddies was really into them and he got me hooked,” said the native South Philadelphian.
Colin Lenton: Ken, a 47-year-old artist, had been smoking for 30 years. “I’m not embarrassed, we’re all going to die some day and I enjoy smoking.”
