Summary:

Chappie tells the story of a robot imbued with artificial intelligence who is stolen by two local gangsters who want to use him for their own nefarious purposes.

  • Description of the technology: Chappie has an A.I with learning abilities in a robotic body. The body is metallic but not very strong yet, and needs battery for operation. Chappie and robots need a "guard key" to re-install and modify their software.
    Chappie's unique A.I was developed by an software engineer but the weapon company does not show any interest, one of the independent gangsters somehow acquire the Chappie and the software engineer and gangster teach Chappie about the world.
    Chappie's A.I. is good enough to learn and develop a device to transform human's consciousness to computer.
    Chappie tend to behave based on the lessons who taught him, later Chappie learns meanings of death and life, and start to behave based on his own judgement.
